Established in 2003, Jiutai Group is a mixed joint-stock company mainly engaged in chemical industry and new materials. It is a national high-tech enterprise that has obtained a number of national invention patents and utility model patents. It is mainly engaged in the R&D and production of new products such as methanol, alkene, ethylene glycol and aromatics. It has branches in Linyi (Shandong), Inner Mongolia, Guangzhou, Zhangjiagang, Beijing and other places. It has developed an annual production capacity of 1 million tons of methanol and 600,000 tons of alkene. A plant with the annual productivity of 1 million tons of ethylene glycol is under construction in Togtoh County of Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. On December 27, 2016, the group registered "Shandong Guo’an New Materials Co., Ltd.” in Lingang to undertake the construction and operation of the project.
