Establishment of the Shandong Institute of Chemical Safety Science

On March 28, the Shandong Institute of Chemical Safety Science was established in Jinan, filling the gap in chemical safety research institutions in Shandong Province and marking a new stage for Shandong's chemical safety development.

Subsequently, the Shandong Institute of Chemical Safety Science will aim to build itself into a "national first-class, Shandong's top, and industry-leading" scientific research institution to carry out systematic, basic, and forward-looking research on chemical safety development strategies, science, technology, equipment, facilities, policies, regulations, etc. It will promote the transformation of the province's chemical safety from addressing apparent problems to treating root causes and promote the overall improvement of safety in various key industries and areas by drawing on experience gained on key points. It strives to provide strong scientific research support for consolidating the foundation of chemical safety and fundamentally overcoming relevant difficulties in the province. It will make good use of scientific research resources, technical expertise, and expert teams to establish a talent hub and a one-stop and high-energy platform for industry-university-research cooperation.
