The 2024 Jinan Government Work Report highlights Jinan's plan to vigorously construct a modern industrial system and comprehensively foster new productive forces.

To enhance the quality and efficiency of traditional industries, Jinan will focus on industries such as steel, chemicals, building materials, refining, and food. It will actively implement the "Dual Thousand" technical renovation project and continuously enhance its support for the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries. The goal is to carry out over 300 key technical transformation projects worth over 100 million yuan each year.

With the integration of digital technology and the real economy, Jinan is determined to establish itself as an area strong in the digital economy. It has set the 2024 operating revenue targets for software and electronic information manufacturing industries at 570 billion yuan and 170 billion yuan respectively. It plans to provide free digital transformation diagnosis services for over 300 industrial enterprises in 2024, increase the number of secondary nodes for identification resolution to 13, and cultivate eight industrial internet parks. With a focus on building itself into a hub city for information and communication in the Yellow River Basin, it will continuously advance the "Dual Gigabit" network construction project, with the addition of 7,000 new 5G base stations. It will also accelerate the deployment of urban computing power, striving to bring its intelligent computing power up to 2,000 petaFLOPS in 2024.
