Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China (MIIT) announced the list of pilot demonstration projects for the integrated development of new-generation information technology and manufacturing industry in 2022. On the list, Shandong Province ranked first nationwide in terms of the number of cases and projects.

To promote the in-depth integration of the new-generation information technology with the manufacturing industry in terms of all factors, the whole industrial chain, and the whole value chain, and realize the radical change in the production mode and enterprise form of the manufacturing industry, the MIIT selected and announced 215 pilot demonstration projects. Of them, 20 were from Shandong, ranking first in the country. Specifically, there were four leading digital enterprises, ranking first in China; Haier, Inspur, Sailun and CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd. were selected as nationally recognized industrial leaders with remarkable achievements in digital transformation, a strong industrial driving force, and obvious demonstration and leading effect; 11 characteristic professional industrial Internet platforms were selected and the total number reached 29, ranking first in China.
