On October 31, Shandong Energy Bozhong Offshore Wind Farm was officially connected to the grid for power generation, as the first grid-connected power generation project among the five major offshore wind power bases planned and constructed according to China's "14th Five-Year Plan". A total of 60 wind turbines were built, with a total installed capacity of 500MW, which can generate 1.698 billion kWh of electricity every year and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 1.2577 million tons. It has contributed to the growth driver conversion, green and low-carbon development, and the construction of "beautiful China".

As the first batch of offshore wind power projects in China and the first affordable offshore wind power project in Shandong, the first batch of units in the Bozhong Offshore Wind Power Site A Project were grid-connected for power generation, creating a record for the construction of offshore wind power in the year of planning, approval, construction and grid connection.  Before the end of the year, Bozhong Offshore Wind Power will realize full capacity grid connection of Sites A and B, with annual grid-connected green electricity generating capacity of 3.023 billion kWh, saving 929,000 tce and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 2,229,700 tons.
